A licensed, properly run casino holds a licence from a gambling regulator that anyone can look up on a public register, is operated by a named company with a registration number, and gives players a route for complaints and clear rules on getting money out. Gamesys Operations Limited operates Jackpotjoy and holds Gambling Commission licence 38905. The sections below take the licence, the company, the complaints route and the payout terms in that order, then move on to games, payments, bonuses and account rules.
Licence card
Is Jackpotjoy licensed?
The Gambling Commission regulates Jackpotjoy, and licence 38905 appears on its public register with the status Active. Jackpotjoy's terms describe Gamesys Operations Limited as licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission under that same account number, and a Gambling Commission badge appears on the casino's pages.
A licence number on a casino's pages proves little until the register agrees with it. The match can be repeated by searching the register for the number or for the company name.
Company card
Who runs Jackpotjoy
The company behind the brand is a limited company registered in Gibraltar, and its company number and address are in the grid at the top of this page. Bally's Corporation owns Jackpotjoy, and the company sits within Bally's. The brand launched in 2002. It also belongs to the Gamesys Group, a name that returns in the account rules further down.
Licence card
The Jackpotjoy licence
The register carries two lines for this account, quoted here as they appear:
Gambling Commission register, account 38905, licence account name Gamesys Operations Limited
Gambling Commission register, account 38905, Gamesys Operations Limited: domain jackpotjoy.com, Active
The first line links the account number to the licence account name. The second ties the casino's domain to the same account. Our operator research team tests casinos and traced Jackpotjoy's company and licence from its own pages and from the Gambling Commission register, and the method behind a check is set out on How we check a casino.
Complaints card
How to complain about Jackpotjoy
A complaint about Jackpotjoy goes to the casino first and to an independent body only afterwards. The steps below follow that order.
- Contact customer support through Live Chat, using the icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, or through the Email Us button at the bottom of the screen.
- Follow the complaints procedure set out in Jackpotjoy's FAQ articles.
- If the complaint is still open and your account is verified, escalate it to Step 3, an independent review by eCOGRA, the approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service.
Verified account holders can also send the details of a complaint to the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. Court proceedings are a separate route: disputes with the casino are subject to the laws of England and Wales and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Payouts card
Jackpotjoy withdrawals and payout terms
The withdrawal conditions are short. No verification request may be outstanding on the account, and the balance must clear the minimum shown in the grid. Once both points are met, a withdrawal can be requested at any time. Jackpotjoy typically processes withdrawals within 4 hours and asks members to allow the full period in the grid in case a request takes longer.
The withdrawal limits in the grid are listed against Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit, and Apple Pay carries its own listed speed in the payments table below. Jackpotjoy does not charge members to deposit to or withdraw from a member account.
Jackpotjoy games and providers
Jackpotjoy offers casino games, bingo and sports betting. The casino lobby groups slots, live casino, Slingo and arcade and instant games, with bingo and a sportsbook as sections of their own. The sections below take each area in turn and name the studios and games that Jackpotjoy lists.
Slots and jackpots
Daily Jackpots and Jackpot King Bonus are the two jackpot names that appear on the casino pages. Progressive jackpots grow every time a member wagers, until someone wins, and the amount then resets. They are available on slot games and have no upper limit. Slingo games sit in their own section, and many offer free spins or demo versions so that a game can be tried before playing for money.
Table games and live dealers
Table games come from Roxor Gaming, Gamevy, Inspired (MG) and Pragmatic Play. Roxor Gaming supplies Baccarat, Baccarat Remastered, Craps, Keno, Sic Bo and 10p Roulette, Gamevy supplies Casino Solitaire and Solitaire, and Inspired (MG) supplies 100/1 Roulette and 20p Roulette. Pragmatic Play appears in the roulette listings alongside them. Hungry Bear, Evolution, Games Global, Blueprint, SG, ELK Studios and Gaming Realms complete the list of studios on the casino page.
Live casino puts members at tables with real dealers in real time. Members can talk to the dealers and to other players.
Bingo rooms
Bingo comes in 90-ball, 75-ball and 80-ball formats. In 90-ball games prizes are awarded for one line, two lines and a full house, and some games add special jackpots.
| Room | Format | Ticket price | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session Bingo | 75, 80 and 90-ball | £5 | Four sessions a day at 10am, 1pm, 7pm and 11pm |
| Playoff Palace | 90-ball | - | Every evening at 8:45 PM and 8:50 PM |
| Tiki Bingo | 90-ball | 1p | - |
| Superlinks Bingo | 90-ball | 10p | - |
| Superlinks 75 | 75-ball | 10p | - |
| Speed Bingo | 75-ball | 1p | - |
| Cloud Bingo | 90-ball | 1p | 8:15pm every Friday |
| Sapphire Bingo | 90-ball | - | Every day between 7pm and midnight |
| Lounge Bingo | 75-ball | - | - |
| Fishin' Frenzy Bingo | 90-ball | - | - |
| Bubble Up Bingo | 90-ball | - | - |
| Bingo 80 | 80-ball | - | - |
| Bingo Times | 90-ball | - | Various times through the day |
Prizes differ by room. Playoff Palace pays £20 for one line, £40 for two lines and £100 for a full house, while the Session Bingo jackpot starts at £1,000 and Sapphire Bingo carries more than £12,000 in guaranteed prizes. Bingo Times awards free bingo tickets. Play Off Palace Weekly costs nothing to play, Play Off Palace Bingo Daily starts at 20:45 each day, and Snap Bingo and a Sapphire room complete the list.
Speed Bingo and Lounge Bingo carry progressive jackpots. A portion of every ticket price goes into the jackpot pool, and the jackpot is won when a full house is called within a set number of balls. That number changes from room to room, which affects the size of the average pool. A 90-ball jackpot might, for example, require a full house within 38 balls, and the conditions are shown next to the jackpot during the game. Mini-games are smaller versions of favourite games found inside the bingo pages, so a member can play bingo, chat and play a slot or instant game at the same time.
Fairness and testing
The output of the random number generator is monitored and tested regularly by the casino and by an independent accredited test facility, to confirm it performs within expected bounds and to the regulator's requirements. All games are tested and reviewed before release, and specialist independent audits cover both the random number generator and the average payout percentages. Ecogra is shown as the certification body for the random number generator, and NMi appears as a further certification badge. Demo mode gives free credits to try the games before playing with account balance, at the same odds as the cash games.
Sports betting sits alongside the casino. The listed markets include football, horse racing, greyhounds, tennis, darts and snooker, among many others, and the sportsbook has a welcome offer of its own, covered under the bonus terms.
Jackpotjoy deposits and payment methods
Jackpotjoy lists the payment methods below. The column shows the withdrawal detail that appears against each one.

| Mastercard | Listed payment method |

The minimum deposit in a single transaction is £10. Deposits are made on the deposit page, where a new member also selects a welcome offer. How these figures combine with the identity checks is covered in the account rules.
Jackpotjoy welcome offer and bonus terms
New members choose between free spins and free bingo tickets, and the sportsbook runs a separate offer of £10 in free bets. The main free spins offer is 100 free spins at a 1p coin size on 10 lines for Fishin Frenzy The Big Catch 2. Other free spin offers in the promotions cover 30 spins on Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 2 and 30 spins on Double Bubble. The bingo offer is 30 free bingo tickets on applicable games, and the tickets are worth up to £30.
To qualify, a new member registers through the direct registration link and accepts the website terms, opts in to the Free Spins offer before the first deposit, makes a first deposit of at least £10 and wagers at least £10 in cash on slot games. The bingo version works the same way: the opt-in is the Free Bingo Tickets offer, and the £10 wager goes on bingo. The expiry runs in two stages. A member has 30 days from the first deposit to complete the remaining qualifying requirements, and then 30 days to play the free spins before they expire.
Winnings from the free spins carry no wagering requirements, and there is no cash alternative to the spins. Wagering on Sports, Bingo and Live Casino does not count towards the wagering requirement for the Casino Welcome Offer. The free spins offer has no maximum win, although only a certain amount can be won from the value of each spin.
Regular promotions run beside the welcome offers. Cashback promotions return some cash for losses after a member wagers a set amount on particular games. The Refer a Friend scheme pays a £20 bonus for each friend invited, up to 5 friends and a total of £100, with a £10 minimum deposit and bingo and slots games only. Wheel of Joy rounds run from 12:00 AM on Monday to 11:59pm on Sunday with a maximum win of £60, Jackpotjoy Balls of Joy runs once a day with a maximum win of £750, and Jackpotjoy Bigger Balls Of Joy runs on the last day of the month. Slot Masters is a tournament, and Box Bonanza, Sharepots, Daily & Monthly Free Games and Free Bingo Tickets are further promotions, several of them with a £10 minimum deposit.
Jackpotjoy account rules and identity checks
Age and identity
Players must be over 18, and Jackpotjoy cannot accept anyone under the legal age to gamble. As part of its licensing agreement, every operator must ensure that accounts are verified. When the age and identity verification process cannot be completed satisfactorily, the casino asks for personal identification documents. These may include a passport or driving licence, an ID card, a current utility bill (gas, electricity or water) or a bank or card statement, and bills and statements should be dated within the last 3 months. The member account is suspended until the checks are complete, and the verification team can be reached through Live Chat.
One account and group sites
Each member may hold a single account at any one time, and an email address can be registered only once. A closure can be linked to an account on one of the group's other sites: Jackpotjoy, MONOPOLY Casino, Virgin Games, Rainbow Riches Casino, Double Bubble Bingo and Bally Bet Sports & Casino. Self-exclusion follows the same group boundary. A member who self-excludes may not open or use a member account operated by any company in the Gamesys Group.
Security
Payment details travel between the casino's secure servers and its e-commerce payment providers, which use encrypted connections when talking to banks. Debit card details are entered once and stored in encrypted form on the casino's servers, and they are used only for a deposit or a withdrawal. For card transactions the casino asks for the 3-digit Card Security Code (CV2) so that the card issuer can confirm the payment, and it does not store that code. Personal and financial information is encrypted in transit with SSL technology, and the level of encryption depends on the member's browser.
Jackpotjoy customer support and mobile play
Live Chat is the main route to support, and the Customer Support team staffs it 24/7. Email and phone are also listed channels. Chat replies normally arrive within 60 seconds, a little longer at peak times.
Jackpotjoy has apps for iOS and Android. iPhone and iPad users download the app from the Apple App Store, and Android users from the Google Play Store. A mobile bingo section presents the bingo games through the Jackpotjoy app, and help articles cover both getting into the app and what to do when a game does not load in it.
Jackpotjoy VIP and loyalty
Setting up a member account activates a Joy Points account, so there is nothing separate to join. A member earns one Joy Point for every £5 won on bingo games, or for every £20 won on non-bingo games. Craps is excluded from earning points, and so is sports betting. Joy Points expire 90 days after the last win recorded on the member account.
Each Joy Point is worth 1p in cash. Points can be converted at any time, and as few as 1 point can be converted in one go. Converted cash is credited straight to the member account and is available for withdrawal.
A second scheme, Plus, is based on a member's overall level of play. It cannot be applied for, and members who qualify receive an email welcoming them to the club. Plus members are eligible for Plus promotions and for inclusion in monthly Cash Drops, and they have a chance to win seasonal gifts.
Safer gambling at Jackpotjoy
Jackpotjoy gives members tools to control spending and playing time. They are set from the member account. The list is plain:
- Deposit limits and net deposit limits
- Stake limits
- Session limits and session reminders
- Financial limit reminders
- Account cool off, which pauses access to the member account for a time
- Account self-exclusion, which closes the member account for a set period
An article also explains how to block gambling advertising on social media.
Help services are linked from the casino's pages. They include GamStop, GambleAware, GamCare, the National Gambling Helpline, the National Gambling Support Network, the National Gambling Treatment Service, Gamblers Anonymous, Gambling Therapy, BetBlocker, Gamban, TalkBanStop and GamProtect. Our own page on responsible gambling explains how these tools and services fit together.
