Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Is Legit, a site that reports on whether casinos open to UK players are legit.

1. Nature and purpose of the content

Is Legit is an information site. It is not a casino, it takes no bets and you cannot gamble on it.

We report what the Gambling Commission register and a casino's own terms show about its licence, company, how to complain and payout terms. Nothing here is advice to play, and nothing here is legal or financial advice.

2. Age limit and regional suitability

You must be 18 or over to use Is Legit. The Gambling Commission says this is the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain in most cases.

The site is written for UK players. Gambling law differs from place to place, so check the law where you live before you use any casino. A casino we check may not accept players from where you are.

3. Accuracy of information

Our team tests the casinos and checks every fact on a page against the casino's own terms and the public Gambling Commission register before the page is published. Read more on how we check a casino.

Casinos change their terms. The Last updated date on a page shows when it was last changed, so treat older pages with care and read the casino's own terms before you deposit.

We correct a page when a casino changes a term or a fact turns out to be wrong.

4. Intellectual property

Unless we say otherwise, the text and design of Is Legit belong to us. You may quote short extracts if you credit Is Legit and link back to the page. Please do not copy whole pages or republish them.

Casino names and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them only to say which casino a page is about.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Is Legit to break the law, to copy it automatically at scale, to try to reach parts of it you are not meant to reach, or to disrupt it. You may not present our text as your own or as coming from a casino.

Some links to casinos may earn us a commission if you go on to use that casino. This does not change the facts we report. The affiliate disclosure says what applies today.

Other sites we link to are not under our control. We are not responsible for what they say or do, and a link is not an endorsement.

7. Limitation of liability

We take care over what we publish, but we provide Is Legit as it is, and we cannot promise that every page is complete or free of error.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the site, from using a casino or from a link to another site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Responsible gambling

Gambling can harm you and the people close to you. If it is causing you harm, our responsible gambling page lists help services for UK players and explains self-exclusion.

Nothing on this site is a way around a self-exclusion.

9. Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may change these terms. We post changes on this page and update the Last updated date at the top.
